Reeve’s Butchers
~4 Miles From The George & Dragon
Established in the early 1960s, Reeves Butchers is a family-run business spanning three generations, with fathers and sons working side by side to uphold a proud tradition of craft and quality.
Alongside everyday essentials, their counters are stocked with seasonal game and exotic meats, all supported by knowledgeable, friendly butchers on hand to help.
We work closely with the team at Reeves to source exceptional local produce, including dry-aged mince for our George & Dragon burgers and 28-day dry-aged rib eye.
Milton Sandford Wine
~14 Miles From The George & Dragon
Great food deserves exceptional wine. Since 1990, Milton Sandford Wines have been filling the cellars of some of the UK’s finest hotels, restaurants and gastropubs.
From their chalk cellars in Berkshire, they travel the world in search of outstanding boutique wines, the kind you won’t find on supermarket shelves, and rarely on any other wine list.
We’ve worked closely with the team at Milton Sandford Wines for many years, and their passion, expertise and enthusiasm continually inspire us to think differently, while helping educate and excite our team.
Village Maid Cheese
~2 Miles From The George & Dragon
Village Maid Cheese have been close friends and partners for many years. This family-owned business sources their milk from Heckfield Park Farm, just two miles from The George & Dragon. A true local cheese hero!
We began working with them in 2017 on the creation of Maida Vale, a semi-soft washed-rind cheese made from unpasteurised Guernsey cow’s milk with vegetarian rennet.
Its rind is washed with Siren Craft Brew’s flagship IPA, Soundwave, giving the cheese tangy, bittersweet, malty notes and a luxuriously buttery, soft texture.
Anonymous Coffee
~2 Miles From The George & Dragon
Anonymous Coffee Co. is a locally owned independent speciality coffee roaster and a long-standing partner in Siren’s Project Barista series. Phil and his team carefully roast and brew responsibly sourced coffee for the good people of Reading and beyond.
Their mission is simple: to make great-tasting, high-quality coffee easy to enjoy, while doing a little good along the way.
Not only do Anonymous supply the coffee here at the pub, but we love them so much they’re also our suppliers for sister sites the Siren Tap Yard, and Siren RG1 in central Reading.
The Henley Distillery
~12 Miles From The George & Dragon
The Henley Distillery is an independent, family‑run craft distillery based just outside Henley‑on‑Thames in Oxfordshire, creating small‑batch, hand‑crafted spirits with real character. We absolutely love them.
Housed in a converted 18th‑century threshing barn, they focus on traditional distilling methods and premium ingredients to produce award‑winning gins, rums and other artisan spirits. Their site is well worth a visit.
We partner with The Henley Distillery to bring their expertly crafted spirits to The George & Dragon bar (as well as the Siren Tap Yard & Siren RG1), celebrating the skill and passion they pour into every bottle and helping elevate our seasonal cocktails and drinks menu.
